Undercurrent explores the quiet forces that shape our inner and outer worlds, those invisible movements beneath the surface that often go unnoticed, yet leave a lasting impact. In this work, I respond to the subtle rise and fall of emotion, memory, and time.

The natural world, its flowing water, shifting wind, and slow erosion, offers a language for these internal states. Just as tides carve shorelines and wind shapes stone, our inner landscapes are formed by persistent, unseen forces. These rhythms inspire the fluid, layered forms in my painting, which drift and fold into one another, evoking sensations of vulnerability, resilience, and transformation.

The painting is less about representation and more about resonance, how internal states manifest as shifting contours, how silence contains motion, and how time, though imperceptibly slow, leaves its trace.

Through gentle transitions of color and tone, I seek to reflect both the rhythms of nature and the psyche. Undercurrent invites viewers to pause, to lean into the stillness, and to sense the persistent energy that moves just beneath the visible.
